Quando ho pensato all'ora del tè, ho immaginato una situazione ordinaria che diventa straordinaria. Come se quel tè potesse cambiare definitivamente le sorti del mondo!
Essendo molto sensibile al tema animale e ambientale, mi sono chiesta: qual è l'animale più ingiustamente disprezzato sul quale posso lavorare per sensibilizzare al rispetto della biodiversità? La risposta è stata immediata: il piccione.
Inoltrandomi nel mondo di questi pennuti, ho scoperto l'esistenza di razze d'élite allevate per le competizioni; da qui nasce quell'atmosfera esclusiva che evoca il titolo del progetto. Eppure, mancava la scintilla per la scena decisiva. È lì che è entrato in gioco il tanto bistrattato piccione comune, spesso visto solo come portatore di sporcizia. Questa ingiustizia mi ha spinto a creare una narrazione attorno a lui: perché la sua dignità va protetta, restituita e spiegata.
Questa è la vera storia di come è nato il Piccione Viaggiatore: salvatore delle nazioni ed eroe dimenticato.

When I thought about tea time, I imagined an ordinary situation becoming extraordinary. As if that cup of tea could permanently change the fate of the world!
Since I’m very passionate about animal and environmental issues, I asked myself: What is the most unfairly despised animal I can focus on to raise awareness about respecting biodiversity? The answer came immediately: the pigeon.
As I delved into the world of these birds, I discovered the existence of elite breeds raised for competitions; this is where the exclusive atmosphere evoked by the project’s title comes from. Yet, the decisive scene was still missing that spark. That’s when the much-maligned common pigeon—often seen merely as a carrier of filth—came into play. This injustice prompted me to create a narrative centered on it: because its dignity must be protected, restored, and explained.
This is the true story of how the Carrier Pigeon came to be: savior of nations and forgotten hero.
